Hi!
I just started! Ok! With a rough (really rough!) and speedy story board but itís a start anyway! ;)
About my adaption, I has 5-6 idea about that, I always writing my ideas with sketches and it is what I chose at first but then in middle of storyboarding I changed my decision to 2nd story cause of complexity of first one and time stress! That one will be uploaded soon also, I hust started that one now!
I will explain these soon too;

Mim, :D

Very nice cartoony designs Mim. Your characters look promising so far. That quick traffic illustration actually adds interest to your version of the story.

For sure, I'll make suggestions if I have any.

Love the direction you are going in with this! I've been buried in the darkness and evil that my own short film exudes so it's refreshing to watch someone with a completely different approach. The blurred pov of Amy and John is great and the characters are full of life too (despite being coffin dodgers!)

Hi, :D
Ok, here is a progress of John model, as you see I changed abit John anatomy! So plz say what you think is it better or no?! Also about shoes and Hands! I doubt to make a more fantasy stylized stuff or a realistic stylized one?!
I changed story also again because of my busy life! (I want to finish it on time!) So thought Iíll remove traffic scene! Sorry but Iím alone and busy! But I didnít decide yet! :/

Tnx for ur help, mim, ;)

Welcome back mim! You're brave tackling this alone

I really like the new character, the new legs and feet look really good, it does lend a little more to the realistic stylized which I think is a the best direction. Can't wait to see your Amy character

Tnx Henrik, Yes I'm going LP for most parts of models cause of my limitation of system resources! :( Btw some parts will be HP; for example I finished up john with around 10,000 Polies and a 18,000 for beard!
And about Joints and mouth, yeah, thought I have enough polies there but dunno! I'm not so expert on Riging! Hope God helps me! :wise:

Really, really cool work! And an even cool workflow! :) Your conceptart (especially that one with the 'paper objects') is really creative, so is your storyboard (the presentation of it =).

The way you model those objects lopoly is also interesting, because you got a clear 'evolution'. In HP you often see people having established the look the character very early on, while you keep pushing it. Also your characterdesign is very inventive, and I really like the curls in the beard!

Again: great work, and all the very best for the challenge! :)

Hey hey a big congrats on completing the UVs! That's the dull part out the way!

Texture wise - I think tweed jacket, white but brown/yellow stained socks, brown cordroy trousers and not to metion the white shirt that is creased to hell like it was never ironed and has food stains down it.. What you waiting for? :wip:

Ha, no whatever you decide, I'm sure it'll look great :)

Out of interest, to what resolution are you going to texture the clothing? As the final film guide size is relatively small I think you could easily get away with a small(ish!) texture sheet, but it will be interesting to see what works best

Keep it up, you're doing just fine :D

Ok me good friends, I'm doing john Rig's currently;
I didn't use biped or character studio because they are not flexible enough I think, otherwise I created a complex bone system and wire everything to themselves! :argh:
In fact I'm not a pro rigger (don't quote me! but it's my first complete rig!) and I havenít see any tutorial about a complete rig yet instead of Max help and it makes me alil nervous if it wonít work when it had to! :( Btw there is no way to return! I can just complete it then test if it works!
Hokey! Right now I have some problems on movements! :curious: But donít worry! Iím fightin em and will kill all bugs! (God plz help me or Iíll die!!); anyway if I stay alive thought Iíll do Amy and Picasso rigís much faster then! :p

Amy definitely looks like a senior citizen. Yeah, like what ViraF has commented on, her boobs appear youthful like. But still funny if you keep this as is.

Your rig. Wow...intimidating :scream: Curious to see it in action.

Good stuff mim!

Hi,
Itís the easel I made for painter, but I have to remove painter (& his easel!) from the story also!! Cause of time stress and lil complexity of previous story!
So there will be nothing other than Amy, John and The Gallery!! But I thought it would be funny yet as in new story! I stylized the story as much as possible! From start of this project till now! And now I ended up with just two characters and one location! But I imagine it would be funny yet if I can make what I thought!
So Iíll start animating soon! ;)

Tnx, mim

mm, it's a pity that you have to remove the painter from the story, he looked really funny too... but time runs fast, and anyway I still think you should be able to do something great with Amy and John, your work here is looking very good, I'm looking forward to whatever you show us next! good luck!!

Tnx elmasfeo and tnx all ppl suportin me, yess itís a pitty really, but itís my pitty life! I have to lose this great situation just like other ones because I have a lot of problems in my life! They get all of my time and I canít handle little gapes to do what I like to! Because they are really little and I have not anymore energy to use them after day-time!

I stayed awake a lot of nights and gone to my job late mornings, I risked for it by resigning from my work! I did anything (and anything) to make it possible finishing it! But itís not finished!

But now Iím not sad or disappointed! Cause I did all I can! This wasnít my fault but life forces direct it! I just handled it as possible as I can but problems growth more and more! Anyway it was a great (really great) experience for me and now I am in a different look than start time of this project! So Tnx CG-Talk for it!

And Tnx all ppl, competitor and cg-stuff for all supports, critics, suggestions, comments, inspirations and positions you made here n there, I learned a lot from you all guys, really really appreciated,

I will complete this work -although not on time- but Iíll put here the final work for sure just to appreciate for all of your times to looking my work and commenting here, plz accept my apologize for that I canít finish it on-time and be aware I did ALL I can! You know! Believe me plz, ;)

Again sorry and sgain tnx, mim.Armand
