View Full Version : Editing soft for Divx + mp3

Hi,
I want to edit a video that uses Divx video codec and mp3 sound codec.
But, I cannot find any editing softwares, or plug-ins for it.
So far, I tried the following:

Premeire Pro2 and AFX CS
I can import and export the above video, but cannot read the original audio from the video because of mp3 codec. So, the exported video has audio track, but no sound.
Actually, how can I export any videos (containing video and audio track) with mp3 codec?

Cleaner XL
I can import the video and choose Divx and mp3 codecs to export, but the quality of mp3 is only up to 54kbps, 24kHz. (In fact, I need to use another soft to edit it in advance, too)

Anyone knows a solution?

Is the video something you can re-encode from the start? Divx and mp3 are more delivery formats, you'd be better off editing in something else and doing the final encode in Divx and mp3.

DivX and mp3 for editing - bad choice. Try Virtual Dub, may that can handle the Divx part. Not sure if it works with mp3s though.
