Maya Unlimited 4.5, polygon geometry
work in progress, 6 weeks

I'm a second semester master's student at NYU. This is an alien invader character created for a short film titled, "The Orb." I'm still refining the lighting and texturing...

good stuff but i think that its too shiny mate, it looks a bit plasticiny.

yeah thanks, i welcome all criticisms.

still gotta fiddle with the lighting...might also create a specular map which i haven't played around with yet.

i wanna make it look like his skin is moist...

Looks cool so far. Put some variation in his skin. Like, his stomach wouldn't be the exact same color or texture as his face.
