Hi guys :)
I'm new here and I have a question for you (I've search on this forum to see if there was the answer to my doubt but I haven't found anything similar).
This is the first time that I try to create something with 3ds Max. It is a chessboard (please, not look the materials that I have used, I still have to decide them ^-^).
I've made all... the chessboard, some of the chess pieces. Now I'm working on the reflection of the chessboard. I've read that to do it, I have to do this:
in the material editor, I've to open the Maps rollout. Then, I've to click the map button for the Reflection map component and choose Flat Mirror.
Well.. in this way I should have the pieces reflected in the chessboard but.... >w< this is my result

It has been while since I used Max, but for Flat Mirror to work the polygon needs to be absolutely flat. Another thing is that you need to enable 'reflections/refractions' in the render options window (I think).

Application specific questions like this can better be posted in the 3DS Max sub forum, more chance of a better answer :)

Thank you for your replay Marcel :)
I've controlled what you have said and I had done all correct >w< So, I've serch on internet a kind of tutorial to understand what I had to do. I've read that I didn't have to choose Flat Mirror but Falloff and now it works ^_^ (the angle of the reflex and the intensity aren't what I wanted but I believe that I can correct it)

This is the image that I've now ^^
