View Full Version : Add bones to arms problem

Hi,

How can i add bones to an characters arm - very basic - i just want to move them into different postions.

I'm no expert in this area, try tried bones from Deformation and the Mocca menus, fixed them, but every time i select a bone to rotate in the middle (or any) of the arm, it moves the whole character around!!

all the caracter moves it's because the influence map, if you have Mocca it's good, use Claude Bonet, if you've not mocca then paint an influence map, and make it to restriction tag

excuse me, i think i made mistake, place vertex map in the restriction tag :)

If you have R10 the new joints and weighting are easier to use than CB.
Use the joint tool to create and place the bones in the arm. Then use autoweighting first and after that adjust the weightmap manualy.
This is of course only a rough info, for a real rig with IK you should check the manual and maybe some tutorials on this first.
