View Full Version : "Invalid Input" error on filletedge
phix314 06-23-2007, 09:36 AM Performed a simple boolean to create a plug port like always. After the boolean finished, tried to fillet the resulting edge. Returned an "Invalid Input. Nothing done." error above the command line.
I exploded the geometry, rejoined, and it worked fine. There a step I'm missing?

hi,
I think booleans are a bit tricky so its not easy to tell what went wrong without a pic. Though i would assume somehow you got unjoined edges or naked edges where you wanted the fillet by the boolean. you then may have closed them by exploding > join.

I think that may have been the case. When I was joining them back together there was a straggler (3rd curve where 2 should have been).

If you run into this problem again, try "Analyze > Edge Tools > Show Edges". Occasionally when I have problems where things aren't working right, I use that command to find the naked edges and work out the problems from there.
