Ok, this is my first "sharing" post to this place so go easy on me. Pencil sketch on paper, but completely digital painted using PSP7- no tablet I'm stuck using a mouse (agh, talk about pain after 3.5 hours).
The purpose of this image is as a costume design for a play (I did 5 total designs); Italian play but the "director" wanted a Scandanavian influence, with Comedia delArte masks.
This character, Smeraldina, is sorta crazy. The "panniers" she's wearing normally go UNDER a skirt, but she doesn't get that so she wraps hers in fur and wears 'em on the outside.
Oh and that her mask looks just like her face is part of the joke about her.
