Whoa, kickin sketch pantsdude. It's a really original design, I really like the lack of eyes.
And that nipple ring...:airguitar

Great! I really like the gear. Are you planning on coloring it?

I've thought about coloring him, but I'm not good enough yet, and I'm scared that it would ruin him, but don't worry, I'm practicing

Just color it in Photoshop and save it as a different file. If you mess up, reload the pencil drawing and start over.
The only way to get better is to practice.
your sketch is a+ yer use photoshop to colour him. i'll be much easier

allright, I am going to get a tablet from my friend to help me transition from using pencil into photoshop coloring. Any ideas on his color scheme?

would you mind too much if i posted a colored (not textured) version i worked on? i've worked on it for the past 2 hours and it doesn't look bad :) at least i'm happy with it, seeing as i'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to anything artistic.

!.. damn 20k limit... have to post it elsewhere.. (it's hell not having webspace)
now i have to retype this all... crap
here he is :) colored in photoshop, textured (or attempted) in paint shop pro... i think i'm going to buy that..
there are some problems here and there. the skulls could use some texture; the skin has little color variation; the wood needs some work. then again this isn't supposed to be photorealistic. looks kinda comic book-y :) i like it. also, the skin just has a simple texture on it because it looked pretty bland without it. but this is my best 2d work ever so i can't complain!
the only part i was wondering about was that thing hanging off his backpack. is it a lantern? i didn't know so i just colored it silver and gold. i tried removing it but then there was a big empty space, so..
i hope you like him :)

love it! sweet work DrakeX. It is a lantern by the way, but I didn't do much with it because it was really there to just take up space. one thing though, he has a hat on his head that the rings are hanging off of, sorry it is hard to tell I love the yellow teeth. what's with the five colored dots next to my signiture, is it your signiture? overall sweet job:beer:
