I have Painter X on Mac OSX and a G5. It is so sluggish that it takes an unacceptable amount of time to accomplish anything. Painter IX worked better for me. I can't tell if this is a memory problem or not. There is certainly plenty of room on my hard drive. Thanks for any clues to speeding up the program.

You need to disable the enhanced brush ghost and also brush ghost, should be smooth now.
