not sure if thats the same flick, but one of our customers was working on Ghost Rider & a Tekken movie.

They were using Maya, Combustion 2, and Jig.

So if thats the same then yes there should be lots of CG in it.

So many of the "(Blockbuster)" films coming "out" of hollywood today that are based on the comics we grew up with have been downgraded to pathetic B-movie "styled" flops. Who dared to see Daredevil? And what about the upcoming "Hulk"?

Don't blame the CG FX teams they sometimes have to try to put icing on manure.

Oh, poo. That's a hoax or just a super-early concept. Now that Avi Arad is head of Marvel, you think he'd actually let something this bad hit the screens (forget Ben Affleck as Daredevil -- that throws a kink into my whole argument)? The Marvel movie properties have done pretty well under Avi's guidance, so don't yet discount what he'll do with Ghost Rider.

1- the makeup is a wip, it will be better when shooting the scenes
2- the eyes will be removed.
3- the crappy hairs are a private joke, and some CG fire will be added
4- picture the result with proper lights and background

It's a joke, there's no way they could hire Bernie Wrightson to do the concept drawings and come up with something like that!!!

Realisticly though, Marvel's record with the last few movies (ie X-men, spiderman, Hulk.... Daredevil:scream: ) have been reasonably funded and decently captured the heart of the comics.
I can't see them dropping the ball on this project as bad as that... In fact that would be more like dropping a bowling ball from the top of the empire states building.

Ok. Ghost Rider is an awesome character and to see him brought to life on the screen will rock. I find it terribly hard to believe that Marvel would try to pass this off on audiances when their track record with films so far is great when turning an idea from book to screen regardless of whatever opinions are floating around out there. Spiderman kicked ass in the box office as well as X-men and I would wager to bet that so will X-Men 2, Amazing Spiderman and the Hulk. Regardless I have found a couple of links that lead me to believe that that Ghost Rider picture is not the final element that we will see in the film but merely a stand in for initial lighting or whatever the director may see the reason for.

And besides. Nicholas Cage, regardless if you like him or not, does not pick movies of that low grade quality. He does not have to.

As for the fire...It would have to be a new benchmark for CG fire.

my neighbor Jason Brubaker is the storyboard artist for Ghost Rider he has been working on this project for atleast a year now. Ive seen the concept sketches that shows how ghost rider transforms and it looks really good.
