View Full Version : Photoshop Elements
snickrep 06-18-2007, 07:36 PM I cannot afford PS CS3 right now. What is the major differences between CS3 and Photoshop elements?

Not sure what the differences are exactly.
But elements is for people who need less than professional level editing features.
Like red eye removal, minor color corrections, resizing images, creating photo albums, etc..
Elements is more for people who need basic image editing capabilities, for touching up photos from a low end consumer grade camera, or scanning old prints from a low end scanner.
I don't know what you need it for, but if it's for texturing or painting you'd be better off with something else like painter or Paint Shop Pro. They cost alot less than Photoshop, but offer more powerful features than elements.

I just bought an epson perfection 4490 photo scanner for scanning in my artwork. I need a program that will allow me to digitally color in my sketches. I've used photoshop before, but I just can't afford it right now.
