CGTalk - Caustics pass?

Does anyone have a work through for doing a caustics pass? I turned my surface black, and tryed to do it that way but the caustics show up very poorly.

I didn't try it but maybe instead of turning your surface to black, try to disable "emit diffuse" and emit "specular" on each light. your scene will be black with just the caustics
