Floating Paradise in the middle of the ocean.

During storms the glass canopy closes to protect the inside.
the diameter of the sphere is 500m, I added the oil tanker in the background to show the size of the sphere..

scene is 4 million polys..
1 area light for the sun, monte carlo 1 bounce, perspective camera.
(the ocean uses APS, I applied a simple gradient to have more faces in the foreground and less in the background..)
previewed in fprime but rendered in lightwave. (fprime could not render that scene at high resolution)

It looks great!! I love the thing like that...
I'd like to see inside renders, it would be more intresting..:)

Thanks a lot ,

I will try to render one from the inside today,

until then, here is another one I did before that..
(it's highly compressed because cgtalk only accept jpg less than 90k..)

Wow this is amazing! Didnīt you show us nearly the same island some time ago... anyway... I love it! Great model and amazing lighting and water fx... simply great work! I would love to see an animation... that would be great...

Very Nice work Dude ..but u know it's not giving me the true feeling of paradise..maybe u have to work on that...anyway man it's just my feeling ....maybe others feels the paradise..My Congratulation very cool work

ah a lightwave user finally..... I like the picture. though i think this shot needs to be more dramatic maybe. dont know...
and u have a strange was of paradise in your mind....:D
