Hi Everyone,
I have been doing a lot of marker work ;ately and I wanted ot shard my latest piece to get some feedback before polishing one for the gallery. The three images on the right reperesent thre different levesl of lighting and three different paths the color style could take. What are your thoughts on which reads the best? The first is a very bright wash, the last a very dark wash, and the middle is a hybrid of the two.

Thanks for taking a look.

I like the pose, looks like he's ready to take on the world.

When I first saw the title of the thread, I thought it was some sort of Chunk Dwarf Spread, wherein you spread....dwarf...on....your bread...maybe add some jelly.

haha i was thinking something similar to that.

I like the one that is the hybrid of the two. The only thing that is bothering me is maybe the perspective of his left foot. Maybe it is too far?...

Other then that great and your marker work is very nice!

I also like the 2nd... but the 3rd one is more to my liking. The shadows really pull it together. On the other hand, the 2nd one isn't so saturated so it looks more natural. Well, six of one half a dozen of the other... it's a toss up between #2 and #3.

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't been able to check this thread in a while - I have been away. I plan on posting the updated piece in the 2D gallery soon.

Thanks again.
