Hi All,

Would love a critique for this walk I've been working on. I'm going for a "normal" walk. All critiques welcomed, thanks!

hey, man, good job!

my only critique would be that it somehow felt "stiff" and i think that was because of the upper body not having just a little bit of "lean" forward as the dude steps. other than that i think i spot a little jitter in the knees area, but it may be just a codec compression thing?

you can also balance the head just by a tiny fraction, sideways as he steps, it may look better.but just a subtle touch.

hope it helps:)
keep up the nice work!
Cheers!

Nice Cycle man! I have to agree with Virgil - his feedback is 100%. The dudes upper body seems abit stiff. All the stuff you have going in there is great - you just need to make it a little more noticable. More twist in chest area - loosen the shoulders up - things like that. You know what to do.
There's some really subtle pops in the knees also that Virgil pointed out. This IS the hardest part of a walk cycle. Getting the leg to extend - and make contact with the ground without poping. Keep tweaking and tweaking till its smooth. It's a super pain... but once you nail it no one can anything about it! Because it looks sweet~

Good stuff! Prolly one of the best cycles i've seen on the boards in awhile. Keep at that!

Hi All,

Thank you DavidWeinstein and Activemind. Your critiques were helpful, he was looking stiff! Its amazing how you have to push some poses and in the end it flows better than being more conservative, even in this "normal" walk.

Here is an update, I think the stiffness and popping issues has gotten better (compared with the first version).

As always, Comments/Critiques always welcomed.

Looking good, I think you addressed the previous comments pretty well, the upper body seems to feel really fluid now.

There's still some very minor popping in the knees (i almost feel like more in the right than the left). But it's very minor and I'd almost say NEXT!!! and move on to the next one.
