HI.

Now that college is finished for summer, I can relax a bit. Now that I got a bit spare time I thought I'd get into this challenge. I've wanted to model an AT-AT for sometime now. I can remember going to the cinema to see Empire Strikes Back. Think I was my 9th Birthday. Anyway...I absolutely love the hoth scene so its only natural that I make an AT-AT. Depnding on how much I get done I might do the battle scene.

I would join forces with someone if you fancy it gimme a shout. It would be cool to get a team going.

I'm using C4D btw.

First update

Started the head. 've got a shed load of reference but its all conflicting and no 2 models are the same. The film doesn't really focus enough to get great shots. and I've got some decent blueprints but they aren't the same as the film AT-AT's. so I'm just gonna get it as close as possible to what I think it should look like.

If anyone has really good detail reference (especially the head) please let me see it. Thanks

Excellent start! This is my favorite of all Star Wars ground vehicles. In fact, my original AT-AT toy from the early '80s (complete with functioning chin-gun action!) is on the table next to me.

Good luck - I'm keeping an eye on this model.

Get the head right and the rest will follow and that looks spot on.
Good job :)
