excellent work. i think maybe a more silver metallic color and maybe throw some bolts in various corners to hold it together like a machined robot, just some ideas for ya. very nice though

Man, that's one sweet bot design...
Love all the modeled detail. It really looks like a military machine...the way it's put together, and the beefy parts.
Great design. Hope you'l share an animation test with us. :D

Heya . . . thanks for all the kind replies . . .
idvah - :D
icr82nz - As for the color . . . this is all kind of temporary. I'm hoping to have it textured in the next couple of weeks . . . metalic is probably the way that it will go . . :D
Tikisan - I'm planning a little scifi piece for my demo reel. . . I feel like I need to get some robots and spaceships out of my system before I move on to other things . . .
3DZealot - Hopefully I'll have some animation finished fairly soon . . . the bot is all rigged and set up to be animated. All I need to do now is get to work . . . :p
Like I said . . . back to work . . .:wip:
Looks superb:airguitar To me, the elbows appear a little fragile, but that's a minor nitpick- it's a great robot.

Point well taken . . . maybe I'll look into adding some reinforcement down there or possibly just some sort of plateing to protect his scrawny arms . . . :D
Thanks much . . .

I really like the design, it's aggressive looking and predatory. Look forward to seeing your animation. :scream:

Thanks much Vorlon . . . I'm working on getting some animation done for the weekend. It's kinda rough so far, but progress is being made.
In any case . . . I thought I would throw up the little sketch that the bot was derived from . . . there actually is a good deal of difference from the original. I still would like to add more hoses and cables, but I'm not too sure if I should keep those front legs off or try to work them in . . . Any thoughts on this? Anyone?
