here is a rendered first half of my short: link (http://www.box.net/shared/qcp9klhydk)
10 megs..it needs some color tweaks, and hair corrections..one shot is in D3d still. and there's music but still no soundfx. critique welcome!

Hi SittingDucky,

It's looking really good. I love the character/set design and the animation. The only thing that I can see that looks a little strange is the balloon. Sometimes it behaves in a realistic manner and sometimes in a stylized manner. It might be a little difficult to change the balloon's timing at this point, though.

Overall, great job.

Excellent, i really like it!

apart from the comment about the baloon which i agree with, i find the character really awesome, he has so much personality! but then again, i really like everything!

the only thing i find a bit confusing is why he is standing on his head at the end :) but maybe you want to tweak a little bit more that part.

great piece, looking forward for more!
Cheers!

thank you! the baloon is in separate rendered layer so i might be able to make some tweaks in motion..since the timing depends a lot on the character..the upside-down part is strange..i guess its my fav piece of animation there but it hardly makes sense, i agree : )) im thinking of inserting a small feet closeup of him slipping on the rug just before he falls...thanx for crits guys, cheers!

This looks really nice so far! I really like the style, as I want to achieve a similar style on my upcoming short...but different... Your character is scary and cute at the same time, which is wicked awesome!!

I only have one crit for you. The camera seems to twist just a bit too much. I like the odd angles that you have chosen, but it starts to feel a little disorienting.

Anways, keep up the good work!!

thank you! next shots will be more focused on the character, so i will try to keep the cam less nervouse :)

Every morning at work this past week I opened this file and made my coworkers crack up. We all think it's hilarious and want to see more.

Hi, here's a small update. after some revisions, the plot has taken a slightly retarded turn : )) here's link http://www.sharecg.com/v/17954/animation/theRapture-Wip2
