View Full Version : No pressure sensitivity - need some help :(
space-sprayer 06-11-2007, 07:08 PM Hi all
I have just opened up PS to continue a piece of work, and my pressure sensitivity for my Wacom Intuos 3 has disappeared! This has never happened before, and I cant figure out what's wrong. I've made sure opacity of the brush is correct, and been into the drivers to make sure that is all ok, but i cant find the root of the problem.
Does anyone know what I might do to fix it?
Thanks!
Nick

Well, I rebooted my comp, and it all worked fine again...

Oops. Late on the post here.
I would speak to a Wacom tech. They are very helpful.
I own an Intuos 1 and am thinking of upgrading to a 3 and have heard alot of buzz about pen pressure problems in Photoshop with the Intuos3s while working fine in Painter. If and, hopefully, when you resolve the problem, I would like to know what the resolution was.
Sorry I could not help currently.

No probs Quadart :)
Actually, all i did was reboot my computer and I haven't had any problems at all since. I've never had the problem before that either, so no idea what happened. The strange thing is, I got a little warning when trying to get the pressure sensitivity to work again (in PS) that said 'attnetion: you must have a pressure sensitive tablet to use this function', so something to that effect, as though it didnt recognise that I had a tablet plugged in at all!
I went into the tablet drivers and it recognised the sensitivity in there, so somewhere between the tablet drivers and photoshop, my tablet was being forgotten about
If I have the problem again I will let you know :)
Thanks
Nick

I had this from time to time with my intuos3 in CS3. I then simply restarted photoshop (sometimes about 3times) and it worked again. I installed now the latest wacom (us) drivers and no problems til yet...
