If this is in the wrong subforum, sorry. This seemed like the most fesable place to ask a question of this nature.

Right off the bat, I have searched and tried a number of tutorials relating to what I'm working on. But none have been able to acomplish what I want to do.

From the screenshots I will show, you will see that these are fairly basic models, as this is my first year using 3DS Max9 in school (grade 11).

On to the problem I'm having. I have modeled a simple engine, actually, after my CR500.
I am having the problem of having the connecting rod (3), pin and bearing (2) rotating with the crank(1). While having the top of the connecting rod(3a) only move on the Z axis.
After that gets done, I have a piston to attach to the top of the rod. That needs to be restrained to moving on the Z axis as well, without rotating.

As of now, I can't get any of that to happen in unicen.
