Title: Dreamcatcher
Name: Luisa Jana Preißler
Country: Germany
Software: Photoshop

Why do my paintings always look so messy?
Guess I'll have to improve this ;)

Well, that's a piece done in Photoshop CS. I worked quite a long time on it, maybe too long, because in the end I thought it was getting even worse and the dreamcatcher was finally driving me crazy.
Nevertheless I'm all in all satisfied with it and I hope you like it ;)

Edit: This is a new version, I added a few details.

Don't worry about being too messy, sometimes it's a part of the style, and it has it's own charm to it. Look at some of the speed paintings in the sketch section, and they turn out pretty nice for being messy:) It's a great image, and with time you'll improve those things that bother you.

You are very modest. Extremely good work.Only is felt the chest is a little strange.

Don't worry about looking "messy" it is simply unrefined due to some small anatomy issues and you could've used more highlights to make the figure stand out. In particular I'll pick on the hand - you have a double ring finger and the actual palm is not accurate. I suggest looking at your own hand and posing it for a drawing - hands and feet are the hardest to draw from human anatomy except maybe from faces. Faces are more commonly drawn and that's why most people don't have issues drawing a face while they struggle with hands/feet.

Great use of color and I like this a lot, 4 stars from me for the "messy" style.

It looks really great, very nice image Luisa. The atmosphere is great, and you get a really interesting feeling in the image. Maybe I see the bottom part too blurry, and you could add there more detail. Anyway great work, congrats and keep on.

The face is looking really nice..Nice styling too..Its really hard to draw hands and feets in human anatomy..But u have somehow managed to make it good..In my humble opinion the depth u have given to her hands is more u can reduce it..And u can also shif that dark part into center of it..I really liked the fingers formations..Hairs are really nice..Some areas in the middle can be imrproved though overall a real nice effort indeed..Keep up the good work..All the best..Cheers:)

I really like that painting, eventhough I am not that much into female looking men.
However, color palette and mood are so lovely!
I'd just have refined some details more.

hey ayne! :D
never thought I'd find you here XD
anyways, the painting is beatiful, you know I already liked it when I saw the sketch.
colors are cool, especially that lightening effect on the dreamcatcher, but I think they could affect each other more... the light is so bright, I think more orange/yellow light on the surrounding would look well :)
