So this is my first thread.......yes, I'm a newbie. But you will be seeing quite a few posts for the next few weeks. I'm an illustartion student and this is my first computer illustration assignment of the term. My client is Melio flatware, which has a mirror finish/frosted finish combo on the handles. I'm posting the initial sketch I did in Illustrator, along with the color palette I'm using.
I do have questions on some execution. I'm required to use a combination of clipping paths and radial gradients/blends. I look forward to hearing the feedback.
This is the progress up to this morning 06/12. Obviously the first layers are going to be worked further. The frosted layers are coming in, and the shiny pieces are to be coming soon!
Hi all! I thought I would go ahead and post the final on this thing. This has already been turned in for a grade, although I still welcome any feedback. I encountered quite a fewe challenges, and with time constraints, wasn't able to execute some of the things I wanted to. Thanks for all the input. I'll be posting a new piece soon.
