View Full Version : No presspass in render window
ThePriest 06-08-2007, 11:48 PM I've encountered this problem numerous times, it seems that when I use area lights in my scene and switch GI on (standard mode), Cinema 4D fails to render a prepass for my shot.
Weird?
Solving it is easy for the most part, I copy and paste my scene into a new document,
but more frequently that poses the same problem. It'll be the 3rd or 4th copy/paste that finally solves the issue.

Don't know if this is the same thing, but I started a thread a while back about a prepass problem: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=47&t=484383
Like with your situation, the only workaround I have is that I cut and paste into new document, or resave, then it works.

It's a very similar problem and there's absolutely no difference in settings.
I even overlayed the two in Photoshop to see if I was missing something obvious.
I'll try to replicate the problem with a smaller scene and send to Maxon.

That would be great. Though a fairly common issue with me, I've never been able to create a single scene which would always behave that way.
