I'm a new to Cinema, and I run into a reccuring bug where my viewports won't update. They will freeze at first, then just show the orange bounding box. If I close the program and open the same file the view ports are completely emtpy, though I know the objects are still there and being manuipulated, because their coordinates change.

The only thing I can do is undo until before the bug occured - except last time I tried that C4D froze and stopped responding. Now I am stuck with a file that I can't work in! I don't know what to do?

What causes this and how can I fix it?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Turn off the active highlight planes/dualplanes etc options in your opengl preferences.

I reverted to a previous saved version and re-did my work. I noticed the problem happened A LOT when I tried to use the bool object. I will follow your advice when the problem happens again. Thanks Per Anders

It happened again, and I checked my settings. The one you mentioned, and all the ones in that section of the preferences were not ticked. They were greyed out in fact, so I had no a access to them. I guess it can't be them?

if you turn off the boole with the green checkmark, do they come back?

sounds to me like your doing a complex boole thats causing cinema to struggle and freeze.
