View Full Version : Table cloth
Pragmatic 06-08-2007, 11:07 AM I have been trying to model a table cloth on a round table using the cloth function. (Fairly simple)?
I can’t find a way to get the cloth to form a hard edge on the edge of the table. I always get a rubbery bull nose result.
Can anyone offer any advise?

Hi,
chekc the clothrules on my website. The problem you are facing is that a single polygon can not be bend. You have to use a proxy with beveled edges for the collision. Subdividing the cloth will reduce the problem too, but it will not resolve the problem.

Thanks,
I'll look into the proxy solution (although it seems above me, now) and review your cloth rules.

Srek thanks for your comments. I was not happy with the bevel on the table collider. What I ended up doing was to boole the cloth the size of the table and fix the points in the hole.
It is not perfect, but it is a heap better.
I would still like to make it look less plastic.
Again, thanks for your help.
