Hello all,
I'm having some trouble with using fur to make grass. I've a scene that I've attached and for some reason the grass is visible through the walls and the car texture on the scene. There is no transparency on the textures and the scene is lit using a sky object and ao. The texture has a luminance channel on it with ao set to multiply and when I take it off it stops the grass showing through. But this same technique is applied to other textures that and the problem doesn't arise. Has anyone seen this type of behaviour before, or know how to fix it?

Thanks
Donal

Hi Donal

I have the same expirience with this behaviour (R10). I have had there global AO settings with Use Sky Environment option and Hair :-(.

Hi Pavel,
I'm not sure I understand you correctly, is there any solution to this? I find it strange it happens to some textures and not to others.

Sorry, I am rendering something just now, but could you try AO shaders only, not a global AO settings in render settings tab?
