Well, that wasn't "Definitive" at all. It's just biased opinions from a chick that likes Windows XP a bit too much.
I use win2k mainly, but in my experience, MacOS and Gnome are way nicer as interfaces than WinXP.
Then again, it's all subjective. Half the article she's saying "I like, I think, In my experience" etc.
Very useless. She even got technical data wrong - MacOS doesn't have vector icons on the desktop, they're bitmaps. They're resizable, but no desktop (outside of IRIX machines I think) has vector icons. Gnome and KDE have it planned tho.

Oh, by the way, all my beefs are against the writer of the article, but thanks for posting - I love all the news posts you do here Array :)

Gnome has them.... (only one theme so far)... KDE plans to have them for 3.2...
I personally thought that the article was fairly accurate for most people but being accustomed to. KDE I think I would have a hard time finding OSX or WinXP as comfortable... (Except when it comes to 3rd party stuff)

Having read it I have to say that it does not seem like she likes XP to much.....at the end she actually rates the Mac OS as the highest.

I'd like to see this article on Slashdot. heh.
I hate to say it, but I'm really starting to dig XP. I have it on my laptop and 2k on my desktop. Now I'm wanting it for my desktop.
Go fig.

I've seen something like Open BeOS somewhere on sourceforge ;)
http://sourceforge.net/projects/open-beos/
Developer edition of BeOS, but updated for new hardware
http://sourceforge.net/projects/beosdeved/
http://www.beosonline.com/
Haven't tried any of them or read more about them, but sounds promising ;)
There's even Blender and Pov ray for BeOS ;)
