I'm working on our lab computers that have 1.4 Ghz pentiums and 1 Gb of RAM. Once in a while (twice so far) when i open up my att editor for a material, some weird error comes up, and then another comes up that says:

The instruction at "0x00720075" referenced memory at "0x00720075." The memory could not be "read." Click OK to terminate the program.

Then I hit ok and bam, maya closes instantly. ANY ideas as to why this happens? I lost a little work a couple minutes ago and its pretty frustrating.

Any help at all is appreciated!

You might want to post this in the tech. area. I've never heard of your problem, but it sounds like a hardware/software communication mess up. Have you tried to not click okay, and jsut save the file first? I don't know if you can, but maybe.

Wow Tom, thats weird.. Just this week im having the same problem with the SAME error at my school.. I was thinking that perhaps we were atthe same school but I can see from your info that its not.. The only way for me to fix it was to move to another computer..I know thats no help but when i hear what the solution is I'll post.
