Hello People !
Next September 2007, I will present on EpiciWorld the first episode of” Melita: the Last Guardian’. This fantasy film is 75 minutes long and will be distributed in 5 episodes of 13 minutes each. The work on the screenplay lasted from March 2006 up till August 2006. Then in October 2006 I started to work on the 3d animations.
Though the film is intended to be in English/American language, I am also projecting to produce the Italian version.
In this small article you will find some scenes and some animation previews extracted from the first episode.
90% of the film was done with Poser 6 and 7 while the assembly of the scenes into the various sequences was done with 3dStudioMax.
I have not used any plug-in exported from Poser to any other well renowned software but I have used my technique in which each scene is made up of various layers. This has consented me to animate with Poser and then assembly the scenes with 3dStudioMax. This 3d technique uses various levels and simple geometries and helps me to reduce the time for rendering. As a matter of fact, during the last year in which I have been working on the animation I have been able to produce an average of 120’’ seconds of sequences in format 1280 x 720 per week ready for editing.
While the film will be available on Epiciworld, you will also find various video tutorials and tutorials on the method used for the film ‘Melita: the Last Guardian’ which illustrates the technique of layers It is a very good way to produce animations with few technical resources and at reduced costs.

Synopsis
It is said that there were times in the past when Melita, a strange and magical stone which has fallen from the skies, had freed man from a terrible glacial era thanks to its energy. Mankind however was not able to appreciate this miracle and his quest for power and superiority took over.
Ancient writings narrate that for the old continent, the battle of Mosta was the last and tragic act of a disastrous era which witnessed an unexplainable episodes of violence against the terrestrial environment. This caused a decline of the ecosystem of the whole world.
