View Full Version : Backdrop with physical sky question

I have a spherical panoramic sky texture (not HDR) that I want to use as a backdrop to my scene which will be lit with physical sky in XSI 6. What's the best way to do it, I don't want the texture to interfere with the lighting, but just appear as a backdrop to the scene. How do I go about setting this up in XSI? Also, is it possible to use an HDR image to light the scene but have a higher-res sky texture appear on the render instead of the lower-res HDR?

you can simply turn off its shadow casting and fg casting and visible in sampling options. then it will have no effect on your lighting.
