I like this image very much, but I`m wondering if mabey the ring texture looks a little like plastic rather than gold. And the chain has a rubber feel about it.
nice job:thumbsup:

Very nice, but I have to agree with olsen, the chain looks a little rubbery, and on the ring you may want to make the main body a bright gold and the inscriptions slightly darke as though they're etched in it.

Pretty good, but yeah, work on the materials. And if the chain is supposed to be around your neck, it's far too short and the chain elements are too big.

Brazil has some nice preset metals you should look at and I would definatly suggest a bumpmap for your text on the ring.
It needs a little depth. The chain links might be a little on the heavy side.
Mabey for the chain use Brazil chrome and then dirty it up a bit with some scratch maps or something...
I`m wondering also ....did you use some program to construct the objects and then have them fall onto the wood surface?
Or did you model directly onto the wood surface. The reason I ask is the ring is raised off the table by the chain under it.yet the chain is under the ring quite near the back side which would suggest that mabey the front of the ring should be closer to the wood surface if not actually touching it.

viper.dk: I know about the chain, but when I made it, it got a little too big, it was too much work to start all over again with the chain, but maybe i'll fix it in the future..
about the materials: it looks much better in higher resolutions, and the text is supposed to be "glowing" :) , I didn't quite get the glow I wanted... I can't really say i see what you mean when you say it looks like plastic, cause i think it looks like metal (and gold), but maybe I'm wrong.. I had a bump map on it earlier, but it looked more like the real one without the bump on...
I just modeled the ring and chain by hand, and put it out manually, so it might be that the ring should be closer to the wood floor, but i was quite accurate with that one, it maybe an unfortunate angle on the picture...
I'll see if I can change a few things on it, but I really don't have the time right now, so maybe you'll see it sometime in the future :)
