I need to switch between cameras over the length
of my animation .

Lets say

at FRAME 0 = CAMERA 1

at FRAME 100 = CAMERA 2

FRAME 150 = CAMERA 3

then FRAME 200 = CAMERA 4

and so on.

Thanks Paul

Hi Paul.
You will have to render from each camera seperately and splice the movies together afterwards. This can be done in something like Affter Effects or Premiere (very advanced editing features), or even Quicktime Pro (very limited editing features).

I hope that helps.

Be sure to make use of the Markers in the timeline. They work with the "Range of Frames" option under the Timing Tab on the Render Information Window.

Basically, instead of rendering the complete animation, you go to the Timing tab, and select Range of Frames. A pop up dialog box appears, you enter your start and stop points, and click "ok".

Now when you check the timeline, there will be a green start and red stop half arrow markers to show your frame range. These can be repositioned manually.

Very handy.

Be sure to switch Cameras in the Camera view window, then select the new "Range of Frames" for that piece of the animation, and render. Change cameras, reset the range, and render again.
