View Full Version : a quick critique needed for bouncing ball animation

Hi

Would love some c&c on this rather basic bouncing ball.
i'm doing a whole bunch of them atm, this is the first.

Great start Slider!

I see you got a lot of great squash and stretch in your contact. The ball looks great, you might not want to go too squashed , they work great for cartoon like balls though.


One thing that may help is the ball at the top of its ark should be back to it's neutral state a little longer.

Something that may help is show more weight before the bounce. if you give more space in between the beginning and first squash. There should be 3 contacts to the ground. heres an example.

i have updated with a newer version of the bouncing ball.
some slight tweaking with the curves and entry and exit of the actual bounce.
going to move on now and try a different type of bounce.

ive now added a third bouncing ball animation.
i would really like some c&c on this one please. especially concerning the last few frames, and the way it comes to a rest.

i've now added a third animation, this time its a walk cycle.
i really would like some c&c on this, if not i guess i will stop posting as im gaining nothing from doing this.
