Well, I'm not good at rendering stuff, nor am I at 2d-drawing..
So I'll just try and hope to learn some stuff here:
And a pict after a couple of minutes painting..
The Idea Is to make a big medium alien settlement (want to make it secret). with next to it the "science stuff" in the waterfall..
post a next image when I finished my sketch.
BTW photo came from : "photo.net"
maybe a tip for others...

Your backplate is very good, do you know what to do with the waterfall? Itīs a plus of this image, animation will be a problem, but a good problem. I like the idea of hiding the outpost in the shadow, lowprofile aliens;)

K next update,
I made a couple more buildings and
adjusted the backplate a little more
About the waterfall, zepedro, yeah I know can be a problem
But becease the fall is high and far the water will not much move in a couple of secs the animation. fith a couple particle emitors and the bottom light will glow tat will make it realistic enough.
Anyways next updates will be some models in 3d..

He man, good luck to you first.
Like the first thing better... I mean.
In the first pic you opnly c the windows.... and that is what is fun.. you reall have to look hard to find the allien clony.
It would be great if you made some extensions at the rock but make it look if it is one with the mountain.. camouflage but then you only c the windows or a coepel of the research collony.
Like cut some treesand place instead a building whith the collors and shape of the rocks but then with tinny windows.
Hope you understand what I say..
Keep it up
