hello :)

I am Maya user and searching for suggestions for a 3D animation please, because I've just received a confirmation for a 3D 30" spot contract from a local tv advertising agency and as the pay isn't very high, i guess i will have to do it all by myself..

I've no problems with modelling, I spent a lot of time and work learning it but I am almost a newbie in animation..

What I would like please is just some advice on which project workflow you would follow, possibly avoiding character animations as much as possible (what about using file.bvh motion capture instead).

ps:
The spot is about a girl skating in 2/3 areas of the city, the market etc...
turning the grey city into a colourful one, thanks to the customer's paint.

Thanks in advance :D

as far as animating a girl skating you'll have three choices,

1. use motion capture

2. find someone who would agree to animate the girl and you'll do the rest

3. shoot reference of someone skating, import that as bg image into maya and key your model frame by frame based on live footage, this takes a long time thou

Tnx a lot GoldenCamel :bounce: that's was what i mean..
maybe I had no more answers 'cause I wasn't clear enuff..
what I am looking for is a clear idea about a correct spot workflow:
i already got the script, i guess i should try to do a nice storyboard for example..
to start to show to the customer some sketches..
something like that..

about animation I guess I'll go for choice #1 ATM
#2 is very good too I'll looking for someone
#3 is too hard for me

tnx in advance :D
