Hi!
The picture was created one warm august evening during my trip to Russia...
A girl has a slight resemblance with me. She is sad about ending summer and unrealized dreams...

Coal, paper,little colour correction in Photoshop.

The sadness doesn't come through to me.

The upward curve on the right side of the lip it makes her look slightly amused (in a knowing kind of way), slightly superior, almost condensending.

This is sort of re-enforced by the upward arc of the left eyebrow.

To slaughters:
This is sadness and not sorrow. This hint of smile is suppsed to hide the sadness in the girl's soul. It is a sadness fro something passed with hope for the future.
