Title: Wake Up Call
Name: Nick Harris
Country: United Kingdom
Software: Painter, Photoshop

Another image done quickly for the weekly challenge over at Imaginefx.com. The theme was given as 'Wake', and interpretation is up to you after that. Mainly PainterIX.5, using the soft oil pastel variant. Could stand a whole lot more work, but will have to go in the 'one day, when I have more time' pile.

Hahaha this is great. I guess the moral to this story is don't drive your boat through the reeds like an a-hole. You could be disrupting the fairies!

On a serious note though, I think the whole picture could use more value and/or color. It seems a little unfinished, but don't get me wrong, I like it a lot.

Wonderful work Nick, bursting with your trademark sense of humour - the reeds feel crisp and solid, and the water is just excellent. I love the 'pesky kids!' fist-shake! Great stuff. Phil
