Hello all, joining a challenge for the first time :)
It's hard to pick something new, since I'm joining quite late. But I would like to do a scene with Yoda. Probably with an old stick. My first thought was to place him in a Dagobah environment, but their's all ready an thread about that, so I would see.

Here are some reference images I have put together:

Have started out with the blocking of the rough form of the head in Maya. Would not consentrate so much about the details, or how close it is to the pictures yet. That prosess would I do in ZBrush 3.

I would remove a ring or two on the lips. Once you start dividing in ZB, you'll have too many divisions and will become troublesome. Also, watch out for your topology in the corners of the mouth. It's dipping down towards his jaw line/chin where it should lead back towards his ears or back of his jaw. Again, once you divide it a couple times, you'll start to see a saging cheek area around the corners of his mouth and can become a slight pain to fix.

Then again, I guess it depends on which Yoda you're going for. Digital or puppet.

Hello, just a small update. Deleted some of the rings around the mouth as you pointed out Firerbert :) (http://forums.cgsociety.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=114182&stc=1)
