that's too wiered - isn't it possible to delete polygonal faces in wings3d?

and btw

i couldn't find a way to reverse the normals of a face - is there a workaround to do this i am not aware of ?

and is there a switch to have double sided polygons in the viewport ?

You should be aware that some operations, while allowed in gereral, are not executed in certain situations that would violate some structural conditions that make all of the operations easier to program (and more bug-free!). For example, on a cube, inset a face and then try to delete the diagonals joining the inset to the original face, one by one. You can delete two, but no more. That's because deleting the third would create a face in which the same edge appears more than once - a structural no-no for wings.

"isn't it possible to delete polygonal faces in wings3d?"

No, but you can assign "hole" material to the face and it will be delted on export.

"i couldn't find a way to reverse the normals of a face"

You can only invert the normals of a whole object - Object menu>Invert

"is there a switch to have double sided polygons in the viewport"

No, if you want to see the inside and outside you'll have to use a different renderer or make adouble skinned object using the intrude command.

thanks - all obscurities are pretty much cleared now

the thing about the double sided shading was related to the view in the viewport and not about rendering - anyway now that i know how to flip the normals of an object that does not matter anymore
