View Full Version : characters hand
Metro3d 03-17-2003, 07:54 AM Hi everybody:
I have started work on a new character and here is his hand texturing test. Last two years I have worked as low-poly artist. And making hi-poly character is very unusual for me. :hmm:
So all comments and suggestions are welcome.

Best regards,

I thought i would post a resonse since no one else did
if you want my opinion, first of all it looks really weird with that picture of a hand on and no bump map on it. secondly the knuckles look a little strange, they look like they have a cap on them, knuckles are generally pretty smooth except for the squished up skin allowing them to bend which in turn cause the creases in them. Thirdly the fingers look really wide from side to side but good from front to back given the length of them; fingers and thumb do have an oval tendency to them but I think that you overdid it a little. If there is someway to fix that then do it, be that either making the fingers thinner from side to side, making them longer, or widening them from front to back. All in all it looks pretty good so far, good job.
