Way back when The unreal2 Site had their concepts up I nabbed them to colour for learning, I coloured one of them with the lines left on top becuase i didn't know better, it lookd okay.. but now I know better so i'm useing OpenCanvas to Render a digital painting version... I have lighting fixes left to do I know, but as I update the image You'll hopefuly be able to help me out!

here it is :

Please remeber this is not my drawing, and I in no way take that claim, I'm simply painting over top for practice.

well...as we all know now, the armor is supposed to be rugged metal. the rendering on this pic makes it look like satin. (maybe you were going for a brushed metal look?)

and also, the light sources on all 4 colored areas don't seem to match up (as you mentioned.) watch that.

an easy way to get the lights down is to block the whole thing in with color and work the values in. if i were you, i'd even work in monochrome..or two-tone. just fiddle with the values until the image pops out at you.

hey really nice work! I would like to see it in a more unreal feel to it though... with the green rusty metal and such.

Is there anyway i can get you to let me nab some of this work? It would be much appreciated.

alright, I was going to recolour each area with hue values after painting then apply a real ruff and muddy texture cuase thats what I do, but i'm trying to work out the lights, its hard cuase of 3 points i'm trying to use but still have the shape, i want a rimlight/bottom, top back, front side (opposite)
