Reading through the Animation World Network digest, it listed Cinema4D was used by Imaginary Forces studioes to animate the text and symbols in the National Treasure trailer that just came out. The trailer is on the Imaginary Forces site...

All of the type and symbols were designed and animated in Maxon Cinema 4D. The entire teaser, including film footage, was edited in Avid.>>

Imaginary Forces, of course, best known for the titles to the movie Se7en (thought that was done by a guy no longer there, Kyle Cooper, owner of Prologue). Like their work or not, they're big players in the motion world.

They also used Cinema to do the intro/titles to one of the Spiderman movies (first or second?).

Interesting. I was involved in a project with Imaginary Forces briefly in 2001 or early 2002, and they were a Maya shop. That's why the collaboration was brief. That, and their "all right revert to us, except defending against lawsuits which remains with you" contract.

On the AWN listing, it said Maya was used for the 3D like the buildings and globe in the trailer, and C4D in the titles/symbols... Adam mention the use in Spiderman for the titles (words in the web) and I recall either The Mummy or Mummy Returns used C4D for the end credits... something like torchlit views against sandstone...
