I was talking with Wasamonkey about wings and he gave me some tips I thought others might find useful.

For Character Modeling their are some basic tools that should not be over looked.

- The main ones are those that add Geometry and Topology.
Extrude/Bevel and Connect/Cut

- For editing and refining your model.
Tighten,Tweak and Slide/plug-inn

The last tip was to model your Character with lots of muscle when first creating him or her or it.

model really muscular like all the muscles are flexed and very tense
then tighten in wings to get it looking more realistic (you can leave certain muscles flexed looking if your posing it in wings)
you can also take it into your animation software and use the equizlant tool in that app
in LW it would be smooth
use these tightened areas for the relaxed state
this way you dont spend more time adjusting for buldges

Tighten is an extremely useful tool. Wasa recommends that you play with Tighten a lot! It has many uses and will save you a lot of time on the rough spots.

Hope this was of interest! It's given me more initative to work with wings more. If you guys and girls have any comments I would like to hear em. :)

I have to play with tighten more in the future. Never used it much so far.

You can either add or subtract detail from the model or take it into another program for animation and skinning once you’re done. Adding detail in another program is also an alterative to adding detail in wings; though adding in wings is much easier. And since you added the muscles in the beginning you won’t have to add that detail later on when it would be much more difficult

since I even have a hard time understanding the way you stated this and im the one that told you I figure I would try and clear it up

the animation tip came from loganarts
