View Full Version : Multipass problem
Pauleeeee 05-30-2007, 11:08 AM I've been trying to render and image out to psd format. I've enabled multipass rendering and enabled just the reflection channel to be rendered out. The problem is when I go to open up the psd file which has been saved to my desktop there's only one layer which is the full image. I can't select just the reflection.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

diffuse must be enabled.

AH! I thought that every element of the image was going to be rendered out as usual except the reflection, specular or whatever you choose would be placed on a seperate layer.
So if I don't specify exactly what elements I want to show up I won't see them at all? Is that right?

Ok I've got a new problem. Even after every single channel selected in multipass the sky doesn't render? It just comes out black.
Any idea how to fix this?

Remove all the channels, then just select the first option in the list, something like "add image layers" that will work 99.9% of the time

Thanks imashination but I've already tried that.
When I disable mulitpass rendering the image renders fine. Sky included and everything.
I can't figure out what's wrong at all...
