05-29-2007, 09:04 PM
My first time here, also my first time I will post any models by me:)
I have tried to understand the rules here, so If someone see something that I have done wrong or anything. I will preciate your time too warning me:thumbsup:
I decided to create a storm trooper in a action stand.
So far I have found a lot of reference images, also modelled a basic body (innerbody) for the storm trooper. I have already started modelling the helmet.
I will post the a collach of my reference tomorrow.
edit: I forgot to tell you that I started off today around 1700pm if someone wondering about that:)

Okay. Now I got something to show.
Its still rough some places. But you can almost see its a Storm Trooper. Or a least something from starwars hehe.
And the body its just a guideline for me. So I can have something to put the suit on. Also if you see the storm troopers there are some guy in there with black clothes.;) so in the final you wont see the details on the base mesh.. Maybe the hands. So I want work much more with the base mesh. But the hands will be remodelled.

Well It looks like the helmet its done now. Just a little more tweeking some places.
Then I will head on to the body.
Looking quite nice! I was thinking about entering this one (would be my first) but I don't think that I've got the time for it. The first thing that I noticed was the area between the eyes on your model... It doesn't look right. Allow me to demonstrate in a picture! :)
Don't know how exact you want it to be, considering the time that you've got to work on it, but if you look at this picture wich is almost at the same angle as yours you can probably see that there are some other things that could look even better! ;)

I haven`t notice that part. I have searching alot for reference and found a hole bunch. But this picture you have there... I which that I had that one earlier hehe. Also I see that some places the edges needs to be sharper.

If there was one cool thing from the star wars trilogy - its either the Storm or Clone troopers.
06-01-2007, 01:55 PM
very good i can't say other thing...
06-01-2007, 01:56 PM
Hehe Im agree. But also somehow its the triology that always will be "Star Wars". Im not a Star Wars Ultimate True Fan. But when I was younger Star Wars was one of my favourite. I guess something from the past is still hanging over me..

Alright another update yeah.
There is still some tweekink left on the legs (such as, left foot smaler than the right foot..) Some details are missing. and so on so on...

I really need to get back into 3d work.
Ahh! This is working out great! The only thing that "bugged" me now was the area around the chest and stomach. It looks like your dude got some really sacky tits! ;) And from looking at your ref pic it looks like all the stuff over the belt should be streched out. Keep on going man!
06-01-2007, 06:18 PM
Thank you g8ejosh! Start modelling man. No time to waste. Lol.
Well another update.
06-01-2007, 06:25 PM
Hehe thank you the eRK!
Yeah a friend comment on the exactly samething. lol. Maybe i shoud do something with it..
But the thing is every reference I have from a storm trooper is different. You know that every star wars movie that was made they have differen storm troopers.. So Im just trying to stick to one.. And just use the rest for "only reference". But I suddenly soon done with this modell... I have to make a gun to him. But Im wondering if I shoud make a scene or something.. I still have alot of time left. I will also work with the texturing.. but that depends on the scene.. Shoud the Storm Trooper have oil mess or sand... so on so on..
Well, a nice feature with making a stormtrooper is that you can copy it and make a bunch of em in notime... So, I would like to see a nice battle scene! :scream:
Still, you need to fix those tits... Or show me the ref pic with the stormie that has those tits, guess it would give me a good laugh! :D
06-04-2007, 01:21 PM
Hehe okay I give up I will change the tits. LOL.
Yeah I think I will go for the scene..
But I have tried out a pose, also I have modelled the Lewis Gun for the StormTrooper.
Theres alot of overlapping going on here.. So I need to tweek some more her. But if Im going for the scene I have was thinking about the scene from New Hope when they all storming through the wall.
Well here is some pictures :)
