There are two method of setting dielectric material for the die-die interfaces. Their result is so different that I wonder which one is correct.
And the third is the mia_material which suggested in Maya Help.

Second is equal to third. And both are correct for dielectric, mia_material and some other shaders.
1.333/1.5 = 0.88

I don't understand. If they are the same, why look different?
Here are the pic of the dielectric ones. 101.jpg is the first type. 201 is the second one.
I use photon_dielectric to caulate castics. Attribute is the same as their dielectric_material.

I update the images. They are rendered with same HDRI and a caustic light.
Their reflections in the water are so different.
1st method: reflection of cup's bottom looks weird.
2nd method: reflection of the water surface looks too strong.
3rd method: I didn't uss caustic. The part of the stick in the water should look a little bigger.

And the caustic. I think the 2nd's caustic is more correct than the 1st. Cause the stick blocks some light.
Confused.......
