View Full Version : 2007 character demo reel
machine_theater 05-28-2007, 11:18 PM hey everyone. after 6 months i finally fnished my second demo reel. as my first one didn't have any textures, so i thought this one might up my chances for getting a jobby job. i think this one is a lot better than my first. still room for improvement but i still like it and i learned a lot making it. but i'd love to hear what you guys think. thanks for looking. have a good day.

I really dig those creepy characters, since I downloaded only the small version I can't
really crit the texture work (I'm downloading the bigger res version cause I liked it and
want to see more details)
Your concept sketches look awesome, and you did really well the modeling from them,
my only crit could be the shader of your materials (and maybe some more richer textures
but as I said I need to watch the high-res version)
The overall look of the reel shows some nice skills from concept to 3d, I would love to
play a game with all those characters!
Good work :)

thanks man, i'm glad you liked it. yeah i was learning the skin shaders as i was going. i think i started to get the hang of them on my last model. i've still got a long way to go though. thanks for watching though.

Great stuff, it feels like it should land you a job no problem. What were you looking for? Seems like your strength would be somewhere along modeling/concept work somewhere where they specialize in monster creations.
