Title: Akira Bike New
Name: Liem Nguyen
Country: Canada
Software: 3ds max

Here is a 3D model of Kaneda's futuristic bike, based on the designs from Akira, by Katsuhiro Otomo. This version is brand new, with shiny, reflective surfaces and no stickers. Akira has always been a major artistic influence - the fact that Otomo's designs from over two decades ago still looks cutting edge is a testament to his vision and great designs.

The modeling was done in 3D Studio Max 8, the texturing was done in Adobe Photoshop 6 and the lighting was done in VRay 1.4.

A friends of mine are making a project which is a remake of the CG part of the combat of the futuristic bikes from the 82s film "Tron".

And I'm pretty sure they're going to love your model and maybe they can get some ideas of your great piece. Very nice work mate :)

it's really good, even if the material is a bit too relfective IMHO, why dont' you try also a cartoon render, just to compare them :)
