i have a problem :)
for a little game project i have to create a road down a hill. my road is a NURBS surface. this surface has beautiful uv's :) i love this uv's :D
but then i have to convert the surface into a polygon. because of this convertion i loose my beatiful uv's and i dont know how to maintain them.
if this is impossible, how can i create a polygon road with uv's like a NURBS road.

You should be able to get as good if not better results just by using planar projections on your polygon object. Probably good practice because you cannot edit the UVs of a nurbs mesh and whilst it may look great on your little road, once you come across a more complex nurbs object, your only option is to use texture projections if you dont convert to polys.

? my road has many curves, how can i get these curves with a plannar mapping??

Yea I just had to guess at what your road looked like based on the info in your first post. Couple of things you could try. Auto map/planar proj stitch everything together etc is the first and obvious. The second would be to duplicate the road, straighten it out manually or cheap and dirty with deformers, map it and then copy those UV's back to the curved road. Depends how complex your geom is obviously but this would give you a pretty good map to work with.
