i dont know what the original material of that remote is, but that one looks a bit flat. try adding some highlights to it ???
just give it a tiny tiny bit of reflection maybe and hang some lightboxes into your scene. could look aight.

yep it's awesome work! but i got one question... why's the digital readout all blurred? is it a dodgy texture? that's the only thing that's lettin it down slightly... other than that you got it sorted  great attention to detail

Yeah... you are right... I took a picture with my camera but I don't have a camera stand so the pic is a bit blurry.
Here is the texture:

Will fix it asap.

Looks almost real. For the finished shots, I think you should make a halfway point between the images for the screen. The black player image with the blurry screen looks very nice, I would try going a little less blur but still have some there so that it looks like a genuine photo.

Very very nice. One thing is that the Monsters Inc dvd looks like the contrast on it is raised too high but thats all.

Will post wires when I get home... I use Max 5.1... and I am a total rookie.
Most of modeling is done by crating basic objects and then converting them to mesh (tweaking the vertices, extruding, bla bla).

nice nice nice.. coming along very good.
as much as the chaos of the dvds and the boxes on top of it adds to the realism, i would be careful not to overdo it, cause its taking the attention away from the main attraction, that is the dvd player, who is realistic enough to stand on its own.

Insane attentoin to detail, I hope it didn't cause any mental breakdowns. Insane work, and impressive attention to detail and texturing. Been doing this awhile have you?:applause: well done.

I've been working on this for around 2 weeks... on and off and around an hour or two per day.
I only started with 3D but I've been around the computers since Spectrum 48k days :) I am pretty good in Photoshop and I work for a company that makes web pages and stuff so I decided to try 3D. I used Maya before but it was just not for me so I decided to give 3D Max a chance and it was much easier.
If I would have to rank my 3D experiance from 1 to 10 I would give me 1. I trully am a begginer.
